Booster heater shall be a PowerMax400™ gas booster water heater, Model PM400™ as manufactured by Vanguard Technology Inc., Eugene, OR 97402. Booster to be fired by two 199,990 Btu infrared power burners, using natural gas or liquid propane fuel, with woven ceramic fabric burner. Burners to be ignited by means of a hot surface igniter and a redundant intermittent pilot light. Heat exchangers to be of heavy duty finned copper tubing and carry a 5 year limited warranty. Standard equipment to include gas pressure regulating valve, internal bronze-stainless re-circulation pumps, integrated solid state power controls, temperature and pressure relief valves and LED temperature displays. Booster frame, body panels, accumulator tank, and flue collars shall be of all stainless steel construction.

Unit shall stand on 6 inch adjustable stainless or composite NSF approved legs. The 4.8 gallon accumulator tank shall carry a limited lifetime warranty. Stainless steel front panel to be removable for access to all components without disconnecting booster from its installed location. Booster to be rated at 88% operating efficiency, minimum. The PM400™ can be installed up to 150 feet from the dishwasher rinse valve when equipped with a Vanguard circulation kit. The circulation loop shall be 3/4" to 1 1/2" copper (see manual), insulated to a value of R-4. Loop to be furnished and installed by others.
